View southwards in summer...
...and in winter
A mountain village with tradition and heart
Up here, at about 900 metres above sea-level, far away from the traffic of the Eisack Valley and the hustle and bustle in Bozen you'll have a good life: Rural traditions have been preserved in this picturesque mountain village at the foot of the Schlern, while at the same time you`ll find the comforts of a modern holiday resort.
The people of Völs are proud of their cuisine: Health Food – Weeks in June have become well-known, and the "Völser Kuchlkastl" in October enjoys great popularity among connoisseurs of the creative Tyrolean Cuisine.
Throughout the year there are a lot of cultural events. Traditions are cultivated, - for example "Ostereierpecken" (Easter egg pecking) at the village square, where guests are welcome and invited to try Easter bread and wine.
