First documented in 1351, "Erbhof" (= heritage farm) since 1988
The name "Funtnatscher" goes back to Raeto-Roman times and stands for "a bad well" or "poor ground with a spring".
In medieval times the farm was subject to payment of interest to the Chapter of Brixen. In 1351 "hof (= farm) Funtynetsch" was documented for the first time and has been owned by the "Funtnätschers" since 1566; from that year on the farm has been passed on from one generation to the following generation.
